Family Tree Counseling, LLC
My counseling career began as a Mental Health Counselor (NH and MA) and Marriage and Family Therapist (MA) working in the public sector. After a hiatus from counseling to teach, I provided therapy at an international school in Cameroon for three years and now work in my community. I am licensed as a Clinical Mental Health Counselor in NH and have clinical telehealth privileges for VT residents.
Specific issues that I work with in the context of individual counseling for adults 21+ include depression, anxiety, faith-based concerns, healing past traumas and losses, whole-person growth and grief work (including loss of a pet).
Faith-based counseling is available to those who want to integrate their Christian faith into their counseling. I also look to connect with individuals and families who identify with other spiritual and philosophical traditions and am particularly sensitive to those who have experienced spiritual abuse or felt marginalized by faith communities.
My methods are eclectic, drawing from IFS training, Family Systems, Psychodynamic, Cognitive-Behavioral, Solution-Focused and Strength-Based perspectives. All work is both Polyvagal (nervous system) and Trauma Informed. Approaches are tailored to each client and situation.
